To Be Found

This project is about the urge to hide, being lost and the need to be found. Our society pressures us to make the right choices at a young age and to be the best version of ourselves, always. It’s easy to loose yourself and many people struggle with anxiety. It may seem as if no one knows your fears and escaping reality is the only way out. We spend all our time behind our digital screens trying to fulfill the need for attention and love.

As D.W. Winnicott wrote about it: ''It is a joy to be hidden, but a disaster not to be found''. To capture this I used the botanical garden in Amsterdam; all the beautiful flowers and plants that would otherwise be ignored or forgotten, but are longing to be loved.
